1. List your real name and e-mail address. Kavin Leroux 2. List your previous MUSHand/or RPG experience. Also, list altchars at other Transformers MU*s, if applicable. 2+ years of Mux/Muck/Mushing (Heavy Gear, Beast Wars, Transformers, TLK, AD3..) 5+ years of gamemastering and/or playing AD&D and Shadowrun Clamp/Fastguard @ BWTF Quickstudy @ The Lost Years 3. List your Name, Function, Faction, Note and Quote. This is here mainly for OC characters, but, if you'd like an FC or TC, and would like to revise their note to your tastes (which is allowed in mainly TC cases), list that here as well. The biggest parts here are the Quote, Name and Note. Name: Hotwire Function: Cyberware specialist Faction: Maximal Quote: "There are those who ride on cutting edge, I'm one of those who create the wave they ride on." Note: Hotwire is a devoted and proud scientist. A lot of her time is put into creating and/or playing with her new devices. Especially at first she will find the company of her devices easier to accept than that of other Maximals. She doesn't appear to be shy but she'll avoid contact with anyone until she's had time to study him or her to make a first opinion. In her beast mode she uses her razor sharp claws and powerful bite to take care of unwanted company. Her vehicle mode isn't much different from her animal one and the only new feature besides her flight system is a bomber port from where she drops electromagnetic charges. Finally in her robot mode she's got a good couple of tricks, maybe more than the usual Maximal. A hidden missile launcher in her right arm, retractable spurs from both wrists and elbows, shoulder-mounted laser blasters and who knows what else are what keeps her safe at night. Sometimes she can be caught experiencing flashbacks at the worst moments, leaving her very vulnerable at that time. 4. Detail out for us your characters personality. How does he/she interact with others of his/her faction and the opposing faction? What kinds of things does your character like/dislike? What are some things your character would never do? Again, elaborate as much as possible. This is where characters really should shine. Hotwire's drive to help the Maximals is one more of guilt than it is one of loyalty. Although she believes in the Maximal fighting for the right thing she does not necessarily rule out the Predacons has having any good reasons for fighting either. She does hate the Predacons for their ways of doings by torture, intimidation, destructive plans and their general evilness. But again this is strengthened by her past, these Predacons remind her of the faction that forced her and her friend to reveal their research secrets by ways of intimidation. She is with the Maximals to repay this debt to them, the secrets she unwillingly revealed probably served to destroy many of them and she cannot get this off her conscience, even if she will not admit this to anyone at least not easily. She also believes that the Maximals are those with the most control on their lives. The Predacons' reprogramming does not appear to her as being a procedure that leaves much choice to a protoform. In her past she deceived her known creators to some degree to enjoy more freedom, that's the thing she's always valued most and these Predacons take the freedom away from people. They are an enemy of her freedom, her friends' freedom and the universe's which makes them a force to be dealt with. Her personality is something hard to describe. She 'grew up' in an environment sealed from the outside world, having for friends only the two dozen of scientists present in the complex. All of them had been created there and did not know about what the outside world was like. All they knew or even cared about was their work. Of course as in any other small community there formed clusters of individuals, friendships and even some rivals but this microscopic version of a society's interaction was still far from an open world. Once out of the Axalon and onto this strange new planet this left her with both a fear and a curiosity. A curiosity about meeting new people like her or even different from her, learning about new things that she might have never experienced before. But even from her closed beginnings she did not come out totally clueless, the elders believed that giving her the base knowledge in various fields would help her work better in her own so they reserved a space in her memory for that. Knowing just enough to get around she now wants to know more and will examine people's behaviors, personality and even work to achieve that. Sometimes bordering on impoliteness and spying on some of her friends. But also with a fear, a fear of not being able to cope with her new environment. She has never in her life seen a 'new' face. She was born and raised with the same people all the way through her mature life. When she was dragged off of her complex and thrown into the Axalon's hold she was completely terrified at the guards bringing her over there. As non-threatening as they were she was paralyzed by just the presence of these strangers to her. The way she has found to cope with this fright is to rely totally on the will of the commander, Optimus Primal. She will trust and learn to open herself up to everyone he sees as appropriate, almost even mimicking his perceptions of people sometimes. It will take time for her to forge a true perception for herself. Right now things are just too new for her and she feels overwhelmed, once the wonder of the situation has passed she will learn to socialize more by herself. Optimus Primal: She sees him as more or less of a father to her. She will rely on his advises and follow his orders to the letter halfway because she knows it's the right thing to do and halfway because she also wants to please him. She will try to get close to him, asking him over anyone else when she has a problem that she cannot handle by herself but is also reluctant in doing so. She understands that being the leader of the maximals he is not to take care of someone anymore than he would another and does not want to cause him any kind of trouble. Rhinox: At first she is afraid of him, his impressive size and machine guns are a sight enough for her to faint on the spot. With Optimus' trust obviously being in him however she will learn to trust him. Trust yes but maybe not more than that. She will not take the chance of being near him if she can avoid it and will not initiate any kind of mindless chit-chat with him either. She will work with him but for now until she has learned to know these people better that's the only thing she will do. Rattrap: Rattrap's personality, strangely enough, reminds her of one of her friend and mentor back in the complex. She has towards him an attitude that's close to being one of submission, taking his defense when she believes it necessary and that she knows it wouldn't go against Optimus' wishes. This attitude towards Rattrap might not be permanent though. Already she sees that there are many things separating him from her old mentor and if that gap continues to grow she might even learn to dislike him. Cheetor: Even though Cheetor and her have a lot in common she is unsure of him at first. Noticing the ever watchful eye that Optimus has to keep on him to see that he doesn't make any mistake. In realizing that she decided to be Optimus' eyes when he couldn't be there. In trying to get close to this ever learning cat she can both grow into her new world and hope to keep him out of trouble with her pseudo-maturity. Tigatron: With Tigatron she shares a common passion. Just like him she has both a love and a fascination with her natural animal form and the world they inhabit. She might have a hard time approaching him if he does not make the first attempt at talking to her, she can see and respect his choice for being alone, she's had the same impulses before. Airazor: Airazor, a natural to the air. As soon as she feels capable of doing so she will try to become friend with her. At first Hotwire is uncertain of her flight capabilities and hope that a natural avian protoform would be the best choice to help her with this transition. As with Tigatron she decides to show her nature-lover side as opposed to the technological addicted that she usually is. Dinobot: Hotwire cannot stand being close to him. She's scared of him and of his ideas. She fears that someday his ideas of destruction might be accepted by her new-found friends and that scares her. Everytime Optimus will agree to a proposal made by Dinobot she will not be able to suppress a shiver along her spine. She dares not contradict him but she will try to make herself unseen when she does not agree with one of his accepted proposals. Silverbolt: She has a hard time trying to understand how to react to him. To her Silverbolt is a 'good' guy and not someone to be afraid of but at the same time she's not sure if she can ever be his friend probably because of the same reason. She's not sure how 'good' she exactly is and she's afraid that his shining goodness might she the bad in her. Megatron: The tyrant of all tyrant, Megatron, is someone she actively hates for taking away the freedom and lives of so many. To her he robbed the lives of the entire crew of the Axalon because of his little stunt and cannot stand that. She might be able to see the predacon reasons behind it but with one glimpse at Megatron all of her ideas of that crumble into hatred. Rampage: Without knowing better she sees Rampage as more of a tool of destruction in Megatron's hands then an actual person. If she came to know that he was actually more or less Megatron's slave her view on him might change somewhat to that of pity. Inferno: Inferno's freely given loyalty to Megatron is what she despises in the ant. She believes that for someone to freely given himself to a tyrant you must be inherently evil and so that's what she believes about Inferno. Waspinator: To her Waspinator is an evil pawn caught in a complex game of chess. He does not know what he's doing and he couldn't see the greater plan if it fell on him. She holds towards him no direct hatred but a good amount of annoyance. Tarantulas: The spider....a devious, cunning and structured mind...just like her old rival's. Because of that she might hold alot against him but not in a hateful way, somewhere in her mind she still thinks she is competing against her old rival and will take it as more of a game, with the new setting a deadly game this time. Blackarachnia: She does not know much about this spider but her association with Tarantulas make her a fascination and a rival at the same time for Hotwire. From what she's seen of her she thinks that she is less capable than Tarantulas and tends to underestimate her but she's not stupid enough to do that long if things change. Scorponok: She doesn't see him as much more than a slightly better version of Waspinator. Bigger guns, bigger brain, same problems. She believes the only reason he's still alive is that he protects Megatron from any takeover attempts. Terrorsaur: A bringer of chaos. A Megatron without a plan. There's nothing to like about him from her point of view. She think him devoid of any redeeming qualities and won't try to know anymore then that. Quickstrike: A grunt with a particular speech pattern and an aggressive stance she sees him as...interesting. As strange as this may sound she doesn't have anything against him, maybe even like him to a limited degree. She can't help seeing him as anything other than a simple soldier caught in fighting a war that he doesn't really want to fight. Ironically she'll usually try her new gadgets on him when she can. The things she likes to do best are to work on a project which she's grown attached to, she gets attached to pretty all her projects ;), or wandering in the wild in search of a native serval. She'll spend hours just staring at a serval from a hidden position, watching its every move and yearning for its perfection. After a while of being close to these animals she will even be able to approach them without them fleeing at her transmetal sight. One other thing she's grown to like is to make use of her speed and agility, either it be in flight or on the ground, sometimes even an acrobatic combination of the two. Of course like any type of cat she does appreciate sleeping alot too but she's hyperactive enough not to need to have any sleep for long periods. This turns out to be a good thing when she gets into a project and she literally forgets to stop herself to reenergize. Also there's a little thing that she does. All her weapon systems are directly part of her, no hand-held firearms or anything, and she always ends up rubbing her hand over her extended spurs or her popped up missile launcher on her arm. To her it's a subconscious way to tell herself that she's face. She doesn't like being in places where it is too crowded and will try to get away for some privacy if that becomes the case somewhere. Something she'll never do is reveal any secrets to the Predacons. She's done that before and still can't deal with the remorse, even if it was done unwillingly. She'd sooner die then have to tell anything to the Predacons here on this planet. 5. What are your characters greatest strengths and weaknesses, and WHY? One of her greatest strength is her ability to be able to function in an autonomous way. Once issued an order she will not need the guidance of anyone to perform her work or her duty, knowing what to do and when to do it for the better of the faction the she now has a great desire to serve. The other side to this is her great loneliness. She, along with the other scientists, were designed from ground up to work as a group. She misses this association constantly and cannot seem to form a similar bond with any of the Axalon's crew. When little moves of depression hit her she will devote herself totally into her work, ironically enough shutting everyone else out of her mind. If caught working in this mode people could find her smiling and seemingly talking to herself. In reality she is remembering her past colleagues and working with them through the memories that she holds, the depressive state weakening the bridge between her real memories and those past ones. When coming out of one of these states she could find herself having designed something that she would have never been able to do alone and will cherish it with all her hearth, giving it an almost mystical value. 6. Why do you want this character? What kinds of RP do you see him/her involved in? Give us a general idea of what kinds of things you'd like to do with your character. Well to say the truth the first reason why I wanted this char in the first place was to have an FGS (Flying Green Serval) somewhere. ;) I thought it might make for an interesting character and in turn to further the FGS propaganda, already on three mu* I think...we'll win you all over soon...mwahahahas!...err...no no, I'm fine really. What was I saying? Oh yes, I wanted the FGS char. Well after pondering on that for awhile I couldn't see it as something other than a female so I said to myself I'll try it, I've been wanting to app for a female character somewhere for a long time now. But with lack of time and all I hadn't really started a half-decent app for one. I hope this one will be decent. :) Ok, a bit more rambling here. In the beginning I was thinking of making her a simple fuzor but that didn't seem to fit too well with the personality I wanted her to have and especially with the function I'd found for her by then. The cyberware specialist was just made for a transmetal. So there she is finally as a transmetal FGS and since I've grown to love beast mode, function and even gender I'm sure I'll have plenty of fun with her. :) What kinds of RP do I see her involved in? Hmm, can you give me credit on that until the mush start and I'll get back to you on that? ;) I see her involved in all kinds of RP but without really knowing what atmosphere the mush/faction will have it's a bit difficult to judge what will happen. I think it's fair to say that she'll do things appropriate for her personality and function as best as she can. General idea of what I'd like to do with my char eh? I'd like to RP! ;) I'll know when I have the char and can try interacting with the others, can't really say anything now when I don't really know what I'm getting into. 7. Roleplay on the Beast Wars:Transmetals MUSH is consentual, meaning cooperative, where there are no winners, no losers, just people having a good time and making a fun time for others. :) What do you see as the best advantage of this RP system, and what do you see as abuse of this system? (aka twinking or munchkining.) A MUSH, unlike a mud, provides for an atmosphere where both characters and players can learn to interact with each other in a consensual way and get a fair amount of enjoyment out of it. An usual abuse of this system is a failing to keep with the consensual spirit of things. Either it be a simple fight where someone would make his best to knock someone down without even thinking of the other's enjoyment of this, even within the limitations of one's character personality there is always a way to compromise. Or a TP which forcefully pushes people into doing things which they would not normally do or do not like their character doing, sometime even forcing them to go and stay OOC until the end of it. I think that forcing someone in a non-consensual manner to do something is the root of twinkish behavior and what corrupts mush interactions both ICly and OOCly. Using the consensual RP rules, your app or your stats as a shield against justified criticism about your RPed actions is also a very twinky thing IMHO. When you apply for a character you set down the rules of your character, how you will do your best to portray him or her. Hiding behind your app because other characters don't react to your own in the way you thought they would is simply childish and irresponsible of you. If you can't get the others to react the way you wanted after OOCly talking to them to maybe smooth the edges and that you still absolutely can't stand not having your way, though luck. Get another character and you'll probably be better off. 8. Background. This is optional, since most OCs will just come from a stasis pod, with no previous life. You CAN give your character a detailed past history on Cybertron, with the premise that they were transferred onto the Axalon for various and plausible reasons. Please keep in mind you CANNOT have a character that is a rebuilt Autobot/Decepticon. (The exception to this is Ravage, who may be added to the MUSH at a later date.) Although she had a past on Cybertron she does not remember most of it. The reason for that will be revealed as her story unfolds... Back on Cybertron, three years before the Axalon ever left spacedock, a new brand of scientists appeared in the shadow of the maximal elders. These new maximals were to be used in classified and potentially hazardous researches. Because of their value to the faction and the high risk of leaking information if one of them happened to leave or was captured a new feature was introduced into their creation. Each scientist was equipped with a collective memory device. When together the scientists could share all their knowledge and discoveries, making working as a whole a natural thing for them. However, when the scientists were alone they would remember nothing that they'd done when in the group. All of their memories of that were uploaded into a supercomputer and then wiped from their memory until they would become a group again, the supercomputer would then upload the memories back to them and they could continue they secret work. Hotwire, surprisingly enough, was one of the most versatile members. That alone can show you what kind of a geek group those people were. ;) Her extensive knowledge of cyberwares also gave her an edge to the other scientists, she had learned to shut off the collective memory implant just before her memories were wiped out. She always found this loss of memory frustrating and disconcerting, her wish was to resume her research even when alone and not always be confined at working with the others. A couple months after she started to deceive the implant she turned to her best friend, the medical expert of the group, and disable his implant as well. After the 'business' hours of the group those two secretly continued working together, developing theories of their own and using the group as a testing ground. While they thought this had gone unnoticed they turned out to be wrong. A rival faction had indeed noticed of their shady little work and intended to make use of it. After a bit of intimidation from their part the two had to give in to their demands. Leaking informations to this faction's scientists while they remained working with their own group. This went on for two months before the maximal elders finally found out what was going on. Hotwire and her friend were immediately removed from the group and had their memories wiped before they were shipped onto the Axalon to a place where they wouldn't pose a problem. The maximal elders, in their anger, were a bit careless about the handling of this affair. Although they wiped their memories they didn't bother to remove the implant before putting them in stasis. Hotwire, using her last available energy before being put into stasis, activated the download function of the device and locked it into position. As long as the Axalon was within range of the communication relay she got feed of the scientists' work into her memory, even in her state of stasis. Her friend however did not have such luck. Lacking the knowledge to activate the device himself he was shipped with her onto the Axalon but remained unaware of the scientists or even of any work he'd done in the past. Hotwire's last wish before she fell into the void of stasis was that she could be reunited with him when they reached their destination and that with her help at restoring his memories they could continue their work. Although she has all those memories in her head she cannot really access them, the amount of knowledge is too extensive for her active memory to ever hold. So the best she can do is sometimes see glimpses of those past experiences. It's also impossible for her to upload those memories to another computer or person other than one of the original scientists. The elders made sure that it couldn't be 'forced' out of them without their consent. She hopes that when she is reunited with her old friend they can reactivate the implant and manage to share that knowledge once again. 9. Stats:If you're applying for an FCor TC, do NOT fill out the next section of the application. It is for OCs only. Please see the newfiles on site or at the MUSH for the guidelines. (News Attacks, News Size, News Stats, News Abilities and News Skills.) Strength: 5 Speed: 9 Courage: 4 Technical: 10 Intelligence: 8 Endurance: 4 Skill: 9 Firepower: 7 Mode1: Robot Size: 6 Mode2: Serval Size: 4 Mode3: FGS Size: 4 (Explanation of what the hell FGS means below ;)) Mode1: Interception Reconstruct Mode2: Mode3: Flight Mode1: Weapon: Forearm-mounted Launcher Attacks: Smoke Missiles (Level 0, blind, area) Fragmentation Missiles (Level 5) Weapon: Shoulder-mounted Blasters Attacks: Laser Designators (Level 5, High-Accuracy) Laser Beams (Level 3) Laser Sight (Level 1) Weapon: Spurs Attacks: Wrist Spurs (Level 2) Elbow Spurs (Level 3) Weapon: Enhanced Self-defense System Attacks: Power Strike (Level 2) Power Kick (Level 2) Mode2: Weapon: Animal attacks Attacks: Claw (Level 1) Pounce (Level 2) Mode3: Weapon: Bomber Port Attacks: Electromagnetic Charges (Level 4, Drain, Tangle) Weapon: Animal attacks Attacks: Claw (Level 1) Bite (Level 1) Pounce (Level 2) Skills: Cyberware Design, Artistic Flight, Animal Empathy, Silent Speech Strength of 5: Her tall and lithe frame gives her a strength that's less than the average Maximal's when it comes to lifting things off the ground but she's came up with a system to negate that effect in life-threatening combat situations. Her move-by-wire/gravity generators combined systems gives her a strength rating close to a normal maximal's when considering striking power. Speed of 9: Her natural beast mode give her most of her speed and reflexes. The serval, the longest-legged of the big cats, is capable of bursts of speed sometimes nearing even a Cheetah's in the wild. That added with the fair amount of science she put in her own frame; the move-by-wire system, balance augmentator and a couple of others, give her the speed and accuracy as fluid as her real beast form would. Although her transmetallized form puts her apart from the normal beast she strives to replicate them, seeing them as nature's perfection. Courage of 4: Her courage is hindered by a couple of factors. First of all she does not enjoy being in a fight or a threatening situation other for the fact of testing one of her new invention so she will try, as situation permits, to avoid them. Secondly, as a bit of irony to her first reason, she does not wish to have her equipment damaged. She is the living prototype that holds her discoveries and that the possibility of having those lost, more than even losing her life, is something that holds her back. Technical of 10: Her technical knowledge in her field is without any doubt unsurpassed by anyone. A living database of techniques and designs for the cyberwares that she is constantly rewriting and revising. With even all that knowledge there is also a noticeable drawback. When her protoform was created she was to work in team with a staff of experts in bio-systems so that aspect was left out of her database to make more room for the cyberware related files. Now stuck on a planet with biological protoforms and fuzors she finds herself less than adequate to work on them and must turn herself to those, like her, who were transmetallized. She will try not to reveal this flaw for as long as she can, unsure of her worth if it came to be known. Intelligence of 8: Even if she would like to believe otherwise, she is not as intelligent as she is knowledgeable. She is nonetheless an highly intelligent scientist that works without flaw in her logic. But she sometimes fail to make the links between a situation and what one of her device would bring to it. That, amongst other things, is why she respects and relies on Optimus Primal's leadership. She has realized that as good as she may be at what she does, she is too specialized to handle everything and must accept the command structure to make the faction run smoothly. Endurance of 4: Her endurance is indeed one of her weakest points. In order to emulate the beast form that she so adores she had to make sacrifices to her own frame. Everytime she would add a new system to herself she would have to pay it with a part of her system integrity. There is only so much unused space on a transmetal and she is constantly bordering on those limits. Her tall and lithe frame, in all her modes, give her little bulk to resist attacks. Designed for speed to match a native's she is not made to take physical punishment. She has pondered many times on giving herself a new protective frame but that would mean losing her speed and she is not ready to lose that, which is almost sacred to her. Skill of 9: As much as knowledge and intelligence may play a part in creating designs they are nothing if she cannot work with her ideas. Highly advanced magnification systems along with steady hands and a true aim gives her the necessary dexterity to work with any cyberware component she may have to work with. Her general coordination comes once again from her will to emulate her animal form who has been called the most graceful of the big cats. Firepower of 7: Despite her unwillingness to enter in fights she has not taken that aspect out in either her training or her experiments. She knows too well that the only protection between her opponent and her experiments, most notably her, are fined tuned weapon systems. Since she cannot rely on her defense systems to keep her functioning she had to come up with an active defense system. Her various attacks are used to make her opponent think twice about attacking her seemingly defenseless form again. Once she has achieved that goal she will seldom continue to fight, unless maybe if her enemy managed to seriously damage or destroy one of her experiment where she will want to return the favor in kind. FGS: FGS simply means 'Flying Green Serval'. It's an inside joke/legend that carried over from a muck where I and a couple of friends play servals. In this mode she is much like her animal mode aside from the pair of wings coming from her side and the small rocket boosters just over the base of her hind legs. When transforming her sides open, much like Cheetor's, but instead of staying that way unfold on themselves to grow twice in length, making them full- fledged wings to be used with the boosters that sit on top of her hind legs. Oh and yeah, she's green chromed covered with black spots in all her modes even the animal one. Interception: In all of her modes she takes benefit from her large funnel- shaped ears in two important ways. The first, and most obvious, is her innate ability to know where sounds are coming from. This spatial recognizer system implanted into her ears lets her hear and target sounds that would be otherwise missed by a protoform's normal hearing, making it a major advantage in surveillance duties. Due to the increased feed from her hearing systems she may sometimes get a splitting headache when trying to actively make a search with her sound recognizer, closing her optics and effectively cutting her visual feed actually helps her locate her target better in those cases. The second and perhaps even more interesting aspect is that of the balance augmentator located in her inner ear. Even more catlike than a real cat this little device provide her with unseen grace and agility. She can perform any action involving balance, such as climbing, walking across a narrow platform or landing after a jump with such fluidity that one could swear she'd been designed particularly for that, which she partially was. Reconstruct: As simple as it is for her to create it's also equally easy to recreate. While she might have a hard time replicating the actual softwares that were used in a device she will have no such problem with repairing the actual device itself. Dealing with microtronics on a daily basis she has seen most, if not all, generic devices and has learned to replicate them both in her systems and into necessary repairs. Flight: Her transmetallized form basically gives her that only additional advantage, flight. While at first she shun that ability, thinking that it put her farther away from a normal serval, she quickly grows to like it and even perform acrobatic feats in the air that she would never be able to do on the ground while fighting against gravity. Forearm-mounted Launcher: This launcher stays hidden in her right arm until it is activated. Based on a pop-up system it will rise out of her forearm and reveal two tiny, already primed missiles ready to fire at their target. Wether the bands on the missiles are black or red will reveal which effect they are designed to produce. Smoke Missiles: The black tagged missiles are the smoke missiles. Designed only to offer a safe way to retreat they cannot inflict any kind of damage, except maybe in the off chance that they'd fly in a predacon's optic. ;) The missiles explodes in mid-air just on the top of the area needing to be affected. The dense smoke created from the explosion quickly expands and covers the enemies in it, leaving Hotwire and her friends time to retreat. Fragmentation Missiles: The red ones are simply layered with high yield explosives. Targeted directly at a target they explode on impact and damage the opponent with both the explosion's power and the shrapnel contents of the missiles. Shoulder-mounted Blasters: When activated these blasters, extending just over her shoulders, track her target with extreme accuracy. Cybernetically linked to her optics system they will target anything that she looks at and make the necessary adjustments to fire with a true aim. Laser Designators: This set of blasters, called laser designators, will produce a thin, high-powered laser beam just before they are ready to fire. Acquiring their target in this one last way the beam will then quickly expand and double in power, making it's destructive strength and accuracy a thing to beware. Laser Beams: This configuration of the lasers is simply an untargeted version of the designators, using the time the designators would use to acquire their victim to surcharge the laser generator into a slightly more powerful strike instead. Laser Sight: The laser sight ~attack~ is this thin laser beam that comes out seconds before the designators strike. When used as stand-alone it can be used to tag a person with a laser or be used as a small cutting laser, which becomes quite practical with her line of work. Spurs: She mouts a set of retractable spurs in both her forearms. One extending past her wrist and the other in the opposite direction past her elbow. Wrist Spurs: This usual configuration gives her something to reply with against opponent wielding blades when simple hand-to-hand combat would prove disadvantageous for her. Elbow Spurs: This rather unusual positioning for spurs is mainly used as a deterrent for surprise attacks. Were an opponent able to get to her unnoticed from behind even through her exceptional hearing she would be able to make him pay for his foolishness with these blades. Making sure he'll never approach a lady from behind. Enhanced Self-defense System: A move-by-wire system combined with gravity generators that activates moments only before a strike hits assure that even with her light frame she can deliver a punch to anyone daring to get physical with her. Unfortunately those generators also have a side-effect, when activated they produce an intense electromagnetic field so if she happened to be tricked into hitting a metal wall with her hands or her feet she would be stuck to it for a few seconds until the generators discharge, leaving her open for any retaliation from her opponent in this inopportune position. Power Strike: Those are the punches. Power Kick: Those are the kicks. Sure put a lot of thoughts in those didn't I? ;) Could always have them merged into Power Strikes but I liked having more than one attack by weapons. Anyway enough with that. Bomber Port: Only available in her transmetallized vehicle mode this option makes her not only a pretty sight in the air but also a dangerous one. Electromagnetic Charges: When dropped onto a battlefield those charges resembles sparks. Even though they are of high energy potential they only remain activated for a very limited time and can only affect targets which have been exposed to them during the initial drop. The charges drain an extensive amount of energy from the affected opponent, level his systems drained and devoid of energy until his systems can readjust to the sudden attack done to them. The drawback with those is that she only mounts enough charges for one drop and Wether she hits or not she usually becomes a priority target. Because of this she usually only uses them to cover a friend's escape when a particularly strong opponent is after them, hoping to paralyze him long enough so that everyone can escape. Animal attacks: Even in her transmetal vehicle mode she retains her animal abilities, keeping her form relatively the same as that of the animal except for the flight capabilities. Cyberware Design: Her basic function as a cyberware specialist make the knowledge of those designs an integral part of her work. This fascination also extended more into a hobby than into a simple function, where she can now enjoy every step of her progress almost fanatically. Artistic Flight: This one came more to her as a surprise than anything. Once she learned to accept her flight ability she learned to enjoy it every step of the way. Even developing loop techniques and beautiful flight patterns just for the thrill of it. Animal Empathy: Her animal empathy with those of her beast mode species, servals, should come as no surprise. Her constant strive to emulate them has given her a strange understanding of them and even in her transmetal form she feels close to them. Although she cannot communicate with them as such she can usually understand when they are in need or are afraid of something. Silent Speech: A subvocal microphone in the middle of her throat combined with a set subdermal speakers behind her ears allows for totally silent communication when needed, without worry of someone overhearing her conversation. Something that can prove extremely practical in volatile situations or simply when in contact with natives where transformers' speech could scare them away. A small bio of her beast form, the serval: The serval (Leptailurus serval) is long-bodied, long-legged, big-eared, lightly built cat with a lovely spotted coat. They are 24 to 36 inches long with a tail 1/3 to 1/2 of its head- length. It weighs between 20 and 40 lb. and stands from 21 to 26 inches at the shoulder. The base coloration can be from cream through tan and orange. The dark brown to black spots are in rows on the sides and stripes on the back. Both large and small-spotted types, depending on the location. The tail has several rings and a black tip. There are melanistic servals that have been seen in Aberdare Mountains, Mount Kenya, Mau Forest and Kilimanjaro. Out of all the big cats, the serval has the longest legs; they are up to three feet long, and allow the serval to look over tall grass and pounce directly on its quarry. They also have extremely large funnel-shaped ears that are edged with black and have a large white spot on the back. A crespecular hunter, the serval uses its advanced hearing to locate its prey then directly pounce on it. Being quick and agile, they may hunt reptiles, fish, guinea fowl, but are specialized in hunting rodents. The serval can also jump up to thirteen feet to catch birds. They are capable of hearing and digging out mole rats under the ground. Servals have a very strong prey drive and are relentless about any movements- bugs, mice, etc. Servals are capable of leaping very high and are high-energy cats that can have nearly uncontrollable spurts of energy at times. Servals can emit a shrill 'meow', and can growl and purr.
