The shade which is plentiful, thanks to the abundance of trees growing near the water's edge, providing several small hollows of knolls to relax in, away from the heat on some of the more sweltering days. The roar of the falls is present, and across the bridge, the yellow and green of sunflowers can be seen quivering in the breeze. There's a hint of extra pink on her cheeks; the rest of her face and body is a soft pinkish grey. Her mane shades from grey-green through a brighter yellowish tone, salmon pink, and finally pale violet. Her tail is the same subtle mix of colors. Both her mane and tail are a fraction shorter than average, giving Tincture a slightly scruffy look, especially when her mane manages to flop over her eyes. Her symbol is clearly marked on either side of her rump: a maple and an oak leaf, both partway through their color change from green to Autumn's red-orange. ================================================================================ Lightning Sprinkles Lightning Sprinkles is a very special pony, indeed, having creamy white fur all over his body, as well as a combination of yellow and white in his mane. Glittery sparkles cover his body, little strips of tinsel interspersed in his mane. Coming up from the base of his hooves are little lightning bolt markings, trailing up to just above his fetlocks. Starting from the middle of his stomach and working back up over his rump are those same lightning-bolt markings, the sparkles on his body gravitating towards them and growing denser around them. On either side of his rump is a light pink cloud with a single thunderbolt striking down. Lightning Sprinkles idly sits by the water, tail swishing lazily behind him as he stares into the river dumbly, yawning a little bit. Tincture moves in from the direction of the falls; she's probably been watching the water again, but is now simply enjoying the mid-afternoon warmth and the grass beneath her hooves. She spots Lightning at one of her own favoured places, and walks towards him, with a little extra thud to her step to announce her nearing. Lightning Sprinkles flicks an ear, looking up at Tincture. He's immediately standing up, a broad smile on his face as he takes a few steps closer. "Howdy! How're you doing?! I'm Lightning Sprinkles!" Tincture holds her position, startled by the exuberance of the other pony's greeting. Her ears swivel back for a moment at the volume, and she is a little taken aback, but can't help responding to that wide smile with a lift of her own mouth. "Doing well," she says politely. "My name's Tincture." Lightning Sprinkles nodnods, suddenly looking a little perplexed as to what to do. "It's nice to meet you, Tincture!" He hmmms for a moment, trotting over and picking something up in his mouth before coming back over and dropping it. "See my magic rock?! A seapony gave it to me! She said that it can swim, but I have to train it to not drown...." Tincture gives the rock her full attention, looking it over and then gently touching her nose to the hard surface. "That's something to have," she says, straight-faced except for that hint of a friendly smile. "Have you started?" Lightning Sprinkles beams proudly, then slowly shakes his head and pouts some. "No... I'm scared to take it in the water! It almost drowned last time I did... What're you doing here? Looking for seaponies, too?" Tincture shows Lightning a thoughtful frown. "Difficult. Maybe you can attach it to something floating to beging with?" Then, to answer his question, she adds, "Really just wandering about." Lightning Sprinkles hmmms, thinking that over. "I don't know... Hmm." He sets the rock down by the shore again, giving it instructions to stay there until he returns, before trotting back over. "Well... I was wandering... And then I wandered here. Where are you wandering to?" Tincture considers, before saying, "Not to anywhere, actually. Just around--there's sunshine, and shade under the trees, and the river... that's enough." She looks about herself, and smiles at the sight, evidently fond of the area. Lightning Sprinkles nods, then wanders over under a shady tree and flumps down on his stomach, head on his forehooves. "It's real nice here!" He seems to be.... very ecstatic.... over everything. His tail swishes back and forth as he watches Tincture for a few moments. Tincture bobs her head in a quick signal of agreement, before walking to the next tree along from Lightning's, and settling on her haunches in the shade there. "Very," she empasises, perhaps catching a little of Lightning's pattern. Lightning Sprinkles beams happily, looking up at the clouds and sky. "It's nice to meet you, Tincture! I'm so happy, I made another friend today... First the seapony that gave me the magic rock, then the flutterpo... No, the pegasus-pony that saved it from drowning... And now you!" Tincture smiles at Lightning, nodding again but not answering him aloud this time. Her thoughts drift to a comparison of how the day has been for her: quiet until now, with this one's almost-infectious (if rather loud) enthusiasm about life. Lightning Sprinkles mms and streeeeeetches out a little bit, watching the clouds. "Look at all the pretty clouds!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
